Web Based Transportation Management System (TMS)

Problem: A Federal Government Agency, wanted a shipping system accessible over their intranet to create shipping documents, such as bills of lading, and have the ability to generate comparative freight estimates to help their users in carrier selection.

Solution: ADi developed a web based TMS system that was accessible from all of their locations, created shipping documentation, maintained history, generated reports and imported address records from external business systems. The freight rating module generated a list of comparative freight quotes based on shipment information entered on the bill of lading. The end-users could then easily decide on which carrier to go with using the freight estimates displayed.

Our web based system saved this shipper time by reducing the number of hours it took to prepare the shipping documentation, as well as time finding freight quotes from different carriers. It also saved them money by reducing overall freight charges.
 
Signature Capture and Bill of Lading Imaging

Problem: A large cosumer good manufacturer wanted to implement VICS bill of lading in several warehouse located across the United States and Canada. They also wanted centralized shipping database with bill of lading images so that their customer support can quickly retrieve bill of ladings when required for claims or for other processes.

Solution: ADi installed SmartBOL Enterprise, with VICS bill of lading and digital imaging feature, across their warehouses configured to use Microsoft SQL Server database at their headquarters.

SmartBOL Enterprise simplified their shipping process by consolidating their shipping activity at all warehouse. Headquarters can now see the shipping activity at the warehouses and any back office user, at any location, can now quickly retrieve bill of lading images without spending hours trying to communicate with warehouse for faxed copies of bill of ladings.
 
MAS90 / Macola Interface - SmartBOL Enterprise (HazMat)

Problem: A Chemical manufacturer located in Texas, wanted a shipping system that interfaced with their Sage MAS90 ERP and managed LTL / TL, HazMat shipments. They were planning to change their ERP in a few months.

Solution: ADi installed and configured SmartBOL Enterprise to interface with MAS90, import sales records and make bill of ladings with proper HazMat descriptions. Later when they changed to Macola, all they did was change the ODBC mapping to the new ERP.

SmartBOL Enterprise helped this customer manage shipments, for multiple companies, in one place even after changing the ERP software from MAS90 to Macola. Multiple mappings feature of the SmartBOL software helped them smoothly transition from one ERP to another, without any changes to the shipping process or any system downtime.
