User Defaults :

Create BOL Preferences
 

• BOL Number Prefix: not used for VICS BOL
• BOL Number Suffix: not used for VICS BOL
• Default Format: Select the default format of BOL
• Ignore Weight / Units Tally – check this box to prevent SmartBOL from tallying the Carrier and Order information.
• Do not Calculate Weight – check this box if you do not want weight to be calculated on create bill of lading screen
• Do not convert HU to/from Pkgs - check this box if you do not want to covert HU to/ from packages on create BOL screen
• Calculate Weight using Handling Units - check this box if you want weight to be calculated using Handling Units
• Do not Auto Consolidate - check this box if you do not want BOLs to consolidate automatically.
• Create Manifest automatically - check this box to create manifest automatically. Whenever a BOL is saved it will be  automatically added to the Manifest having same carrier name and BOL date.

Printing options

• Top Margin -Set top Margin for the Bill of Lading between 0 to 1.5 inches.
• Use Legal Paper (Ocean BOL only) - check this box to print ocean BOL on legal size paper.
• Preview Before Printing - Check this box to preview BOLs, Manifest, Reports, POD, Pick List or Labels before printing.
• Include Product code in Description - Check this box to include product code in description.
• BOL and Pro Number VICS Compliant - check this box to assign 17 digit BOL numbers. 

• Print Country Information - Check this box to print country information on Bill.

• Print Totals by Page ( Straight Bill only) - Check this box to print page wise total.

• Print Freight Class / Weight Summary - Check this box to print Freight Class / Weight Summary at end of each Bill.
• Print HazMat Class / Weight Summary - Check this box to print HazMat Class / Weight Summary at end of each Bill.

 

Import Options: While importing from QuickBooks/ Peachtree it will round-up the Handling Unit calculated

 

Default Printing Locations: Select your printer locations for various print operations. 

 

Admin Defaults:

• BOL Number: Enter starting BOL Number to begin bill of lading numbering from. This number is incremented every time a bill of lading is created. 
• SSCC Number: Serial Shipping Container Code
• Number of BOL to Print:Type in number of BOL copies you want to print at a time
• Page 1 Label: Type the label for the first copy
• Page 2 Label: Type the label for the second copy
• Page 3 Label: Type the label for the third copy
• Page 4 Label: Type the label for the fourth copy

 

• HazMat Contact Info: Enter Contact Name and Contact Phone that will be used on create BOL screen.

 

• Use Logo from Shipper Profile: Check this box to use Company information and logo from the Shipper Profile.
• Company Name and Information: Enter Company Name and three lines of Information such as Address, URL or Tagline. This is printed on left top corner of every Bill of Lading, Manifest and Pallet Label.
• Logo : Enter Logo file location. If a file loaded successfully, logo shall be printed on top of every Bill of Lading, Manifest or Pallet Label.

Email Settings:

Mail 

SmartBOL can send Bill of Lading as a PDF attachment directly from the application. Enter your outgoing (SMTP) mail server, From tag and Email to activate this feature. Please contact your network administrator or ISP for mail server details. 

Note: Default printing locations are used only when Preview before Printing is unchecked
 
Warehouse:(Only for Enterprise version with WareHouse Option)

Different Warehouse locations can be added here.
